Concept Zero3 envisages a self sufficient community emerging from the pivotal question 'what would nature do here?' That is the starting point for the new development. It aims to create a harmonious fusion of built form, nature and education.
The project will be designed to use zero fossil fuel energy, produce zero waste and therefore have zero adverse environmental impact. It will generate its own energy and collect its own water, grow some of its own food and treat and recycle its own wastes. In the process, it will also produce oxygen, sequester carbon, fix nitrogen and be a joy to inhabit. Waste water, treated using reed beds will be recycled for irrigation. Black grey water will be pumped to the high part of the site and pre-treated before ground soakage.
